What we track

Our site's registration forms require you to give us contact information (like your first name, last name, and email address), demographic information (like your address and zip code), and your professional interest information (like industry and profession). We also collect email addresses when you access our Applications. Panduit retains this information for our internal use only. The personal information you provide to Panduit may be transmitted and stored in a country other than the one that the information was submitted in. 

When you download and use a Panduit Application, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use, operating system version, and the device identifier (or "UDID"). This information is used to give us an idea of what devices are preferred by our users when using Panduit Applications. 

We do not ask for, access or track any location based information from your wireless or mobile device at any time while downloading or using our Applications.

Our site uses cookies to keep track of your visits to www.panduit.com. We use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests each time you visit our site. While these activities depend on the use of a cookie, visitors to the Panduit website always have the option of disabling cookies via their browser preferences.

Panduit also collects IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information on users to the site.

What we do with the information we gather

We use the information you provide to create an account for you, to register you for Panduit programs or to respond to your requests. Except as specified in this Policy, we do not sell or share the information you provide with third parties.

We are continually striving to make the Panduit website a better information site for you. In order to do that, we continually monitor and analyze the aggregate information we collect from our users. We analyze traffic patterns throughout the Panduit site to highlight popular areas, and to improve the sections which are not meeting the needs of our users.

We may occasionally use customer contact information and professional interest information from the registration form to send email announcements about our new products or services and to contact you if there are any changes to the site that will affect your user experience. We may also use email addresses collected from our Applications to send you information regarding relevant products, solutions and services.

Information Sharing

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy.  We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as shipping your order or offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request,

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us.  We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Cookie Disclosure Policy

What's a Cookie?
 
A cookie is a small file that's sent to your computer by a site's server. A cookie can be a record of your visit to a site, including information such as your user name, time of last visit, pages viewed, etc. Cookies cannot get information from your hard drive against your will, destroy files, send you viruses, etc. Cookies also allow sites to track aggregate -- not individual -- page views, which helps us develop new features and services that our users are interested in.

Mobile Analytics

We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Applications on your wireless or mobile device.  This software may record information such as how often you use the Application, the events that occur within the Application, aggregated usage, performance data, and what online marketplace you downloaded the Application from.  We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the Application.

Access and Choice

You may update, modify or cancel your account by logging into your Panduit account via the Panduit website (www.panduit.com), by emailing us at privacy@panduit.com, or by contacting us via postal mail at the contact information listed below.  

We will respond to your request to access within 30 business days.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails or you can contact us at privacy@panduit.com.
