building a smarter, unified business foundation

Intelligent system hardware brings visibility to your infrastructure.

PViQ™ Intelligent System Hardware combines innovative intelligent cabinet devices with a complete system management through the Physical Infrastructure Manager™ (PIM™) Software Platform. This combination of active patch panels, cabling, power outlet units (POUs), and environmental sensors provides you with a complete data center solution. Information about these devices can be accessed on-site or remotely through a web-based interface to troubleshoot and execute physical infrastructure changes for greater efficiency and cost savings.

PViQ™ Patch Panels

PViQ™ Patch Panels guide technicians through moves, adds, and changes (MACs), which reduces time, improves accuracy and simplifies remote management of MAC activities.
The panels include multi-colored LEDs located above each port to indicate the connectivity status, as well as multi-functional push buttons for diagnostic and configuration navigation.

Eliminating the need for additional rack space, the PViQ™ Patch Panels allow for direct installation of PViQ™ Intelligence Modules within the same rack unit profile. This approach gives IT managers the option to phase installations (installing passive connectivity now and upgrading to a fully managed system at a later time) and to quickly swap out modules for upgrades or repairs without disrupting cabling or data traffic through the panels.

  • Accepts a multi-function interface unit to enable patch cord tracing and diagnostic navigation from front of panel, offering convenience, improved speed and accuracy of maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Accommodates intelligence modules that utilize no additional rack space (zero RU) for scalability and growth of network management in a low risk and cost-effective manner

PViQ™ Networked Power Outlet Units

Panduit PViQ™ Networked Power Outlet Units (POUs) manage and distribute power to multiple devices through a single power connector to improve the scalability of network build outs. Through integration with the PIM™ software platform, these POUs send power and temperature readings to the PIM™ Power module to allow:

  • Automated documentation and visualization of power use and environmental conditions
  • Recognition and notification of faults or power disruptions
  • Identification of available related capacity

PViQ™ Fiber Trays

PViQ™ Fiber Trays map and monitor fiber channels in real-time to help manage resources and reduce network operations costs. PViQ™ Fiber Trays also automate network documentation and maintenance procedures for the physical layer, which improves reliability, security and efficiency.

PViQ™ Environmental Sensors

PViQ™ Environmental Sensors are available as embedded components of PViQ™ POUs and externally placed sensors to measure and trend environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity levels. These sensors send cabinet-level information to the PIM™ Power module to allow:

Automated documentation and visualization of temperature and humidity levels

  • Recognition and notification of exceeded temperature thresholds and/or other environmental-specific concerns
  • Trending analysis to uncover developing thermal issues that may impact optimal performance and efficiency
