Internationally, a widening gap exists between required skills and available technology jobs, creating an employment and economic crisis. COVID-19 has added to the need for digitalization and global economic stress. Learning new skills can dramatically change the lives of youth, so Panduit is helping them increase their abilities and economic prospects through the “Skills Change Lives” (SCL) campaign.
Through SCL, Panduit is collaborating with other organizations to address employment in technical areas and provide educational opportunities and resources to improve economic prospects for youth in the regions of greatest need—specifically, imparting industry knowledge and supplying product, tools and technical expertise. As the need for skills training is most acutely felt in APAC countries where fragile education systems exist, Panduit is focusing on them first with Panduit Singapore serving as the first SCL sponsor.
