Panduit Launches Lithium Ion UPS

Lithium Ion version offers up to 98.5% efficiency for Line-interactive models, longer battery life

TINLEY PARK, Ill. — (Oct. 3, 2022) — Panduit Corp. has added to its offerings with the release of the Lithium Ion UPS, a highly efficient and reliable UPS that provides protection and backup power to meet the continually growing power demands of Data Center, Enterprise, and Edge IT equipment.

The Lithium Ion UPS boasts excellent electrical performance, enhanced intelligent monitoring and network functions while complying with EMC and safety standards. Compared to a standard VRLA battery, the Lithium Ion battery features five times the energy density while occupying one-third the space. Its lifespan is up to three times longer and charges considerably faster than the VRLA.

“Panduit is excited to introduce the 1-3kVA Lithium Ion UPS with smart load shedding extending the runtime and integrated wireless for quick network connectivity among many other features,” stated Alan Burkel, Panduit data center product manager.

The innovative Lithium Ion UPS supports rack/tower installation and features a colorful LCD display with multiple buttons and LED indicators. Its intelligent network management card provides harden security remote access via Ethernet secure SNMPv# protocol to monitor and manage the UPS, micro-USB for firmware upgrade and RS-485 for connecting environmental and security sensors. The Lithium Ion UPS has an intelligent fan speed regulation that automatically adjusts due to ambient temperature and load percentage. It reduces energy waste and the cost of electricity by offering up to 98.5% high efficiency for Line-interactive models.
