Panduit Introduces New Fiber Optic Splice Closures to Protect Fiber Splices in Outside Plant Networks

New offering expands Panduit outside plant portfolio

TINLEY PARK, IL — (May 11, 2026) — Panduit, a global leader in electrical and network infrastructure solutions, today announced the launch of its new Fiber Optic Splice Closure portfolio. Engineered for reliability and ease of installation, the closures protect critical fiber splices in a wide range of outside plant environments, from aerial installations to underground deployments.

The new dome-style closures feature a durable clamping system with advanced gel-sealing technology that delivers exceptional environmental protection. The gel block eliminates the need for multiple grommet sizes, simplifying installation and cable re-entry. The closure can be used in both aerial and below ground environments. With six cable entry ports and a fully re-enterable and reusable design, the closures support both new builds and ongoing network maintenance.

Available in two sizes, the closures can accommodate up to 144 single fibers or 432 ribbon fibers in the medium model, and up to 432 single fibers or 1,728 ribbon fibers in the large model. The portfolio also includes modular splice trays, splice modules, termination kits, grounding accessories, and mounting and storage hardware.

"Installers need closures that are reliable, easy to deploy, and adaptable to changing network requirements,” said Olga Khavarivska, product line manager for the Panduit broadband product portfolio. “This new series delivers all of that – pairing high fiber capacity with a flexible tray system and advanced sealing technology to meet the unique needs of a wide range of applications. These closures allow installers to configure a system that meets their specific application.”

Along with the new Fiber Optic Splice Closure, Panduit has recently broadened its outside plant portfolio with an expanded line of PLC Fiber Splitters. In addition to 1xN splitters, the line now includes 2x4, 2x8, 2x16, and 2x32 splitters in either a pre-connectorized version that include SC/APC splitters on all ends, or a bare fiber version for field termination.
