Panduit Launches IndustrialNet™ Overmolded Cordsets to Provide Fast, Durable Connections from the Control Cabinet to the Machine
Assure reliability and speed installation time by more than 50% compared to traditional hard wiring
TINLEY PARK, Ill. — (March 12, 2018) — Panduit Corp. has expanded its IndustrialNet brand to include overmolded cordsets, extending its Ethernet offering to the Industrial edge device. This product line offers high quality patch connections from machines and devices to switches and enclosures on the plant floor. Protocols supported include Ethernet, EtherNet/IP*, PROFINET, Modbus, and EtherCAT. The cordsets are also industrially rated to IP67/68, NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6, 6P, UL and meet the industrial premise standards for performance, including M.I.C.E. guidelines. The paper, “Novel image processing methods for IL estimation of field terminated connectors,” looks at new methods of estimating insertion loss in field-terminated connectors. These new methods are used in the OptiCam 2 tool, which provides an insertion loss readout at the time of termination, increasing agility and reliability of the installation.
