TINLEY PARK, Ill. — (April 17, 2018) — Panduit, a leading global provider of electrical and network infrastructure solutions, today announced its groundbreaking VeriSafe™ Absence of Voltage Tester (AVT) has received industry recognition for simplifying electrical safety.
Electrical safety has been top-of-mind for manufacturers and plant engineers, while balancing safety and productivity has remained a key challenge. Solutions that offer the ability to keep workers safe and maintain high productivity are critical, especially in industries where regulatory compliance is important.
Panduit’s VeriSafe AVT product has been helping facilities, utilities and other industrial workplaces lead the charge in electrical safety, demonstrated by its receipt of recent industry accolades, including:
- 2018 Engineers’ Choice Award in the category of Safety – Machine Safety from Control Engineering
- 2018 Product of the Year Award from Electrical Construction & Maintenance
- 2017 Product of the Year Award in the category of Electrical Safety from Plant Engineering
Panduit’s VeriSafe AVT was designed to minimize risk to electrical hazards by verifying the absence of voltage before electrical equipment is accessed. With the push of a button, VeriSafe makes it easier for qualified electrical workers to assess an electrically safe environment in a fraction of the time it would otherwise take to verify zero voltage using hand-held portable test instruments. The time-savings is achieved by a fail-safe and reliable automated process, in which VeriSafe tests the tester, verifies installation, assesses the voltage, verifies installation and retests the tester.
“We consider safety the paramount responsibility for plant engineers, integrators, facility managers and manufacturers,” said Bob Krisel, vice president - OEM, Panduit. “We’re proud to offer products like VeriSafe as an effective means of meeting their objectives. With our recent industry award recognition, it’s clear that the industry is looking for a solution that can offer safe voltage verification testing.”
