Challenges
GLS franchise partner Temi Spa invested in a new 8,000-square-meter logistics center in Naples designed around sustainability, operational efficiency, and employee wellbeing. To support this vision, the company required a building infrastructure capable of integrating numerous technologies, including building automation systems, environmental monitoring, energy management, access control, security, audiovisual systems, and enterprise networking.

The Panduit Strategy and Solution:
Working with SmartNet Srl, Panduit delivered a unified physical infrastructure that served as the foundation for the facility's smart building strategy. The solution incorporated OM4 fiber optic cabling, Matrix copper cabling, intelligent power distribution, rack systems, and connectivity solutions designed to support long-term growth.
By creating a standardized network architecture, Panduit enabled communication among multiple subsystems while reducing infrastructure complexity. The open architecture approach allowed building automation, IT operations, security systems, audiovisual equipment, and cloud-based applications to operate within a cohesive environment.
The Implementation
