Construction Products Regulations (CPR) for Fiber and Copper Cabling
Construction Products Regulation (CPR)
The European Regulation for copper and fibre horizontal cable products entitled the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) became effective 1st July 2017. The Regulation states that copper and fiber horizontal data cable products manufactured 1st July 2017 and onward must have a CE mark on the packaging as well as a Declaration of Performance (DoP) readily available to the user.
We’re pleased to announce we can supply every classification of CPR Euroclass cable – both copper and fibre – to meet the new requirements, without compromising performance.
Panduit has classified its current European portfolio of copper and fibre horizontal cables utilizing the approved Notified Bodies and therefore ensuring compliance to the requirements of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
What are the new standard classifications?
The CPR standardizes the flammability ratings of copper and fibre cables across Europe by rating the reaction to fire performance into Euroclasses – Euroclasses B2ca through Fca apply to communication cable.
