Panduit’s Enhanced Maintenance-Free Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Significantly Lowers Risk of Downtime from Battery Failures

2X greater ROI and 50-70% lower cost of ownership than a battery-based UPS

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (March 6, 2018) Panduit Corp. has launched an enhanced Industrial Network Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) globally. Like the previous model, the new product uses ultracapacitor technology, eliminating the number one cause of conventional UPS failures. This lowers the risk of downtime by 39% to keep key equipment in facilities operating at full capacity. The no-battery design also makes the device maintenance-free, providing two times greater ROI and 50-70% lower cost of ownership than an ordinary UPS.

According to Mike Verbeek, senior product line manager, Panduit, “Based on industry feedback for improved capacity, the new UPS supports multiple devices with a combined power input of 100 W. This increased capacity, from the existing 35 W version, further improves ROI and space savings for customers.”

Other features include:

  • Network interface enables remote monitoring of device health through Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP v1/v2c/v3)
  • Remote device management uses standard web browsers and is compatible with EtherNet/IP* protocol and FactoryTalk** visualization
  • DIN Rail width of 80mm saves valuable panel space
  • Compact, single-unit design for easy and quick integration into control and equipment panels

Panduit’s Industrial Network UPS provides uninterrupted power for critical applications including managed network switches, micro PLCs, and HMIs deployed on the factory floor. Thanks to a wide operating temperature range of -40ºC to +60ºC the device is suitable for use in extremely low temperature environments as well as elevated temperatures without loss of performance or reduced life.
