Panduit To Demonstrate Fault Managed Power System at NECA Convention

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (Sept. 29, 2023) – Panduit®, a global leader in innovative electrical and network infrastructure solutions, is unveiling the Fault Managed Power System (FMPS), along with other innovative electrical solutions, at the NECA Convention on Sept. 29-Oct. 2, 2023, in Philadelphia, PA. All are welcome to visit booth #1835 for a live demonstration. This system has been designed to adhere to the latest safety standard, UL 1400-1, setting a new benchmark for compliance and innovation.

Fault Managed Power (FMP), also referred to as Class 4 power systems in Article 726 of the 2023 National Electric Code, is a new power distribution technology that was standardized by UL through collaboration with Panduit and other industry leaders. This technology enables safe, sustainable, and efficient power distribution beyond the reach of existing power distribution technologies. In addition, FMP automatically shuts-off after detection of electric shock and other faults, thus protecting against injuring personnel and damaging property and equipment.

“We’re excited to demonstrate our Fault Managed Power System at NECA” said Brett Lane, Chief Technology Officer, Panduit. "With advantages in safety, reach, and power efficiency, we believe that we’ve created compelling value for customers.”

The Panduit Fault Managed Power System was recently recognized by Cabling Installation & Maintenance Magazine with a Platinum Honoree Cabling Innovators Award, the highest degree of recognition, in the 2023 competition. The awards honor innovation throughout the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.
